Sgeulachd Castle

The dungeon of Sgeulachd Castle holds only two objects: an old watch underneath a gigantic picture of a figure standing high on the ruins of the castle. To find out the truth is to go back in time, when the ruins were first a playground, then a protected graveyard and finally the site for a pitched battle. Its survivors prefer oblivion, except for two days in the year, when they re-enact past events.

This novel was inspired by "Ruthless Gravity" by Craig Armstrong and the views of the magnificent ruins of Tioram Castle.
